I've written extensively from both sides of the story. Basically, there's a world of difference between depriving someone of the ownership and use of an item and copying and distributing said item.

I wouldn't consider it stealing if someone took my images for personal or even commercial use, but I'd appreciate a link back to this website as a matter of courtesy.
